Daniel Wallace, born in 1971, presents his third exhibition at the Damien Minton Gallery.

Wallace is well known for creating installations or total environments with his shows, including his own initiatives inside art studio spaces.

He works with recycled materials and found objects.

The exhibition in March 2010 will be no exception, with Wallace creating a temple in the vast gallery space from found urban waste and building material.

The gallery will become a space of contemplation and live meditative performances will be scheduled during the run of the exhibition.

Wallace seamlessly leads a life both in the city and the bush.

His painting material is invariably pigment found from Central Australia or river beds along the South Coast of NSW.

The exhibition, Inquire Within, is best described by himself:

“I will be creating a modern day temple. The temple arises out of the skip bin… along with bits and pieces gathered along the side of the road.
A celebration of  broken desires and achievements.
The temple is simply a place to be.
No religion required, nothing to follow, nothing to achieve.
This is about seeing what is already here. If there is something to worship, maybe it would be life itself…
Cushions adorn the floor. Take a nap! Make yourself at home; better still make your self home.
Inquire within…”
